Fyxation Unveils the Mesa MP Pedal

Milwaukee, WI – March 21, 2012 – Fyxation, a leading manufacturer of bicycle parts and
accessories, announced today the release of their Mesa MP replaceable pin thin platform pedal.
The Mesa MP (metal pin) caters to a diverse group of riders and adds to Fyxation's growing line
up of pedals.
Fyxation was founded in 2009 and is best known for their line of components targeted to the
urban cyclist. Fyxation first launched the Mesa pedal in 2010 as an affordable and durable thin
platform pedal . The original Mesa, which is still available and retails for $47.95, is made out
of an impact grade nylon body and includes smooth running sealed bearings, DU bushing, cro-
moly spindle and features molded in pins. The Mesa was widely adopted by urban cyclists as
it offered a durable wide platform with a thin profile which made it great for commuting, bike
polo and winter riding.
The Mesa MP uses the same durable construction as the original Mesa but now includes
replaceable steel pins for added grip and durability. Retail price for the Mesa MP is only $59.95.
Weighing in at only 351g/pair, the Mesa MP is a light and affordable alternative to the heavier
and higher priced alloy pedals that are currently on the market.
"We are pleased to welcome the Mesa MP to our growing family of bicycle parts”, says Nick
Ginster, Founder and General Manager of Fyxation. “When we launched the original Mesa the
response was overwhelming but we immediately received calls from customers and dealers
looking for a replaceable pin version for their mountain bikes and fat-bikes. Having a mountain
bike background myself, I saw the benefits that a light and affordable replaceable pin Mesa
pedal would offer our customers; not only for our core urban customer but also for people
looking for a thin, light and affordable replaceable pin platform pedal. Plus here in Wisconsin,
you need metal pins to grip your snowy boots, and an alloy pedal in winter tends to sucks the
heat right out of you. The first Mesa MP samples are still on my Winter bike and my feet have
never been warmer."
